WP6. Climate change adaptation in mediterranean wetlands and their biological comunities, and transfer ti the society

This WP, which does not have differentiated tasks, has five main aims/targets:

(i) To communicate to, and to discuss with the scientific community the results of the project through scientific papers and communications in scientific meetings.

(ii) To elaborate conceptual models on the response of Mediterranean wetlands and their biological communities to different climate change and management scenarios. This will be achieved using the results obtained from the studies at different organization levels and, particularly, of the patterns obtained from the integrative statistical analyses to be performed in WP3, WP4, and WP5

(iii) Transfer the main conclusions of the project to the different Autonomic, National, and European authorities with responsibilities on climate change. IP1 currently works as external advisor with several of these instances, such as the departments of the Generalitat Valenciana in charge of biodiversity and climate change policies, the Spanish Ministry for Ecological Transition and Demographic Challenge (MITECO) and the Spanish Office of Climate Change (OECC), as well as the D.G. Environment and D.G Clima of the European Commission, and the IPCC. These contacts will be profited for the transference of the project results.

(iv) To elaborate a executive summary for policy-makers including recommendations for climate change adaptation in Mediterranean wetlands, and;

(v) To communicate to the society, through a dedicated webpage and participation in outreach activities, the tasks being performed in the project, the results obtained, and the recommendations emitted.
